National Informatics Centre, Himachal Pradesh has developed "Drug Free Himachal" mobile app for Himachal Pradesh Police. The app educates user about the harmful effects of Narcotic Drugs. The most important role of this app is to help citizen to inform Himachal Pradesh Police about any information related to Storage of Drugs by any individual or group, Usage of Drugs by drug abuse etc. The user can also send any related photograph while sending the information to the police. The information will help police to grab the offenders. The app is available on Play Store free of cost
The app captures Name, Mobile Number and location of the user as well as details related to reported crime. The Department will retain User provided data for a reasonable time. This information is never made available in public domain and is used by HP Police only.Data captured is in encrypted form and does not share with the third party.
