Privacy Policy – “SHOR NAHIN शोर नहीं” Mobile App

 

National Informatics Centre, Himachal Pradesh has developed the “SHOR NAHIN शोर नहीं” Mobile App for the Department of Environment, Science and Technology, Himachal Pradesh Shor Nahin app is developed for the convenience of the Citizen of Himachal Pradesh to report any Noise Pollution occurrence to the authorities for corrective measures. The app is available on Play Store free of cost.

 

Permission used by this App:

• Internet: The app uses internet connection and gather information about device’s network availability to fetch the data.
• Internal And External Storage: The app uses the internal and external storage permission to manage access to documents from the device.
• Location: The app uses device location to capture the GPS coordinates of user.
• Network State: The app has read only access to phone state, including the current cellular network information and Wi-Fi Network.
• Accounts: The app uses account authenticator capabilities of the Account Manager, including creation of accounts to Sync the data.
• Record Audio: The app uses this permission to record audio while lodging the complaint.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

The app captures Mobile Number, Name of the user. The Department will retain User provided data for a reasonable time. This information can be used by concerned department only.

 

Misuse by Non Targeted Users

Mobile App is meant for use by the targeted audience only. Misuse by non-targeted users should be prevented by owner of the mobile device.

 

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to include or deleted any content as per latest requirements. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
